Tipperary group hold special mass at iconic Tipperary location

The Legion of Mary, Templemore held their annual mass on the Devil’s Bit last Sunday, July 21.

After a heavy shower around 1pm, the afternoon remained dry for more than two hours to complete the programme of the Rosary and Mass which was attended by around fifty people.

Among the group were a small number who attended the ceremonies for the first time.

These included Gerard Keenan from Magherafelt, Co. Derry, Ollie and Maureen Markham and their daughter Jennifer from Ennis, Co. Clare. Jennifer, an accomplished violinist, played a number of hymns during the Mass.

Fr Dominic Meehan, PP Loughmore, officiated at the Mass and was supported in the Readings and Prayers of the Faithful by members of the Community.

At the conclusion of Mass, the Legion of Mary thanked all the stakeholders and volunteers for their help, in particular, Coillte, Templemore Parish Office, Sacristan and Jennifer Markham for playing the hymns.
