Tipperary County Council is progressing the development of a roundabout at the SuperValu junction in Cahir, according to the district's senior engineer.
During the recent Tipperary-Cahir-Cashel Municipal District meeting held in Tipperary Town, one councillor enquired about the proposed new roundabout on a busy junction in Cahir.
“I’d like to know where it’s at, as money has been allocated for it over the years.” said Independent Cllr Máirín McGrath at Monday's meeting.

Mr James Murray, who is the district’s senior engineer, responded that the roundabout plans are with active travel and that he thinks they are planning to run a trial of the new roundabout for Cahir in April or May of this year.
The project will involve the wider N24 Cahir to Limerick Junction improvement scheme, and will include active travel routes in the area also.
