Clonmel business giving something back to the community.
A number of Clonmel businesses have teamed up with a local service organisation to give something back to the community.
The initiative involves businesses located the Regal Centre in the town and Clonmel Rotary Club.
The businesses - Larry O'Keeffe Furniture, Tangled Yarns, Red Nose Wine, Yesterdays World and Pet Planet - have teamed up with Rotary Clonmel to support local charities and to give back to the community at this time of the year.
These businesses have committed to pledge a percentage of sales over the December 8th weekend, (Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th).
Deserving charities will be nominated by Rotary and include St. Vincent De Paul, South Tipp Hospice and Soup Kitchen.
Clonmel Rotary are also aiding the Soup Kitchen with proceeds from their Christmas Night in Raheen House Hotel this Wednesday.
Says Rotary president Brendan Nyhan - "Rotary are delighted to engage with the businesses involved in this innovate fundraising venture, especially at this time of the year and wish to compliment the businesses for undertaking this initiative."
It will launch on Friday, December 8th at 4pm at Larry O'Keeffes Furniture with light refreshments.
Rotary will be represented throughout the weekend.
Your support for these deserving charities would be greatly appreciated and the organisers look forward to seeing as many people as possible at The Regal Centre, Clonmel.
