Driving in snowy conditions - take care.

Driving conditions in some parts of Tipperary were treacherous this morning, following heavy snow falls.

Motorists are being cautioned to drive with care and not under take journeys unless necessary.

Roads in Tipperary this morning were described as treacherous in some areas, especially in the north of the county, however snow is also falling in southern areas.

A blanket of show fell across Clonmel and much of South Tipperary - roads in town passable but worse outside the town. Footpaths are dangerous in many parts of Clonmel.

M8 - Only one lane on the M8 motorway is passable due to snow. There was crash on the M8 southbound at J5 Twomileborris.

A crash in Pallasgreen this morning caused major delays on the Tipperary to Limerick.
