Community groups throughout Tipperary are sharing a €2.1m windfall this week as Tipperary County Council announced the successful projects that secured capital funding for community projects.
109 community,recreation ,sport and art projects across the county will benefit from grants ranging from €10,000 to €40,000.
Council CEO Joe MacGrath said the council was committed to making County Tipperary a more vibrant and sustainable place.
The maximum grant of €40,000 was awarded for community playgrounds in Ardfinnand and Cashel.
Among the other major beneficiaries were Clonmel Hockey club (€37,500) for a new all weather pitch, Banna Cluain Meala (€30,000) for upgrading existing facilities and €29,500 for Clonmel town FC to replace the floor in Dr.Pat O Callaghan Complex
