Tipperary County Council is inviting applications for grant aid under the streetscape and shop enhancement grant scheme from owners/ occupiers of premises in the town centres of Cashel and Tipperary Town.
Full details of the scheme and application forms are available on www.tipperarycoco.ie or from the Cashel-Tipperary Municipal District Office, Rosanna Road, Tipperary Town, Tel 0761065000.
Closing date for receipt of applications is 4pm on Friday, April 27.
A map of areas in Cashel town that are eligible under the scheme can also be found on the Tipperary County Council website.
The maximum grant available is 50% of the approved costs of works to a maximum value of €500.
Projects under the scheme can include improving but are not limited to: A. Removal of inappropriate contemporary signage, fittings and general clutter and replacement with shop fascia signage (with an emphasis on hand painted signage);
B. Painting and general improvements to existing shop frontages;
C. Installation of planters; floral hanging baskets etc or other environmental improvements.
