Carrick-on-Suir Town Hall
Tipperary Co. Council is ready to "take in charge" the roads, water, sewerage and public lighting infrastructure and services of three Carrick-on-Suir estates.
The proposal to take in charge Cregg Lawns, Ravenswood and Mount St Nicholas estates is expected to be ready to be tabled for councillors approval at the July meeting of Carrick-on-Suir Municipal District.
The proposal and map of the estates is on public displace at Carrick Municipal District Offices on New Street until this Friday, June 22, and members of the public have until July 9 to lodge submissions and/or objections.
District Administrator Martin Nolan informed councillors at their monthly meeting that the taking in charge process for these estates was at the public consultation stage.
Carrick-on-Suir Cllr David Dunne, who lives in Cregg Lawns, said he welcomed the process was finally coming to a conclusion.
In April, the Municipal District's elected members gave the green light for the estates of Manor Close, Manor Gate and Manor View in Carrickbeg to be taken in charge.
