Clonmel Show was held in glorious sunshine
Town met country in Clonmel today at a sun-drenched Clonmel Show.
Thousands packed into Powerstown Park for a wonderful event.
As always it had something for all the family – top class livestock exhibits,
international standard showjumping, a wonderful food village, trade exhibits,
donkey derby and best dressed competitions.
The event was blessed with glorious weather – thankfully a few degrees cooler than earlier in the week.
However organisers took the wise decision to move the kiddies play area for its usual position to a shaded area. Who would have thought in Ireland!
“We are very proud to have one of the top shows in Ireland”, said committee member and MC John Fitzgerald.
“We put on something to entertain the people of Clonmel, town and country, to enjoy the very best of what Tipperary has to offer.
“We are one of the top agricultural counties, with general livestock and dairying, but we also have a multi million euro bloodstock industry as well.
“That's what Clonmel Show is about, it is a county show, and we showcase the best in Tipperary”.
Exhibitors came from all over the country and the winners left knowing that a Clonmel rosette for their animals was a prize worth winning.
