Two Tipperary players are included in the Ireland women's rugby squad for the upcoming World Rugby WXV3 Tournament in Dubai.
Dorothy Wall (Blackrock College RFC/Munster) and Maeve Óg O’Leary (Blackrock College RFC/Munster) have been named by Head Coach Scott Bemand in the squad, which will depart for Dubai on October 6 ahead of their first game at 4.30 Irish time on Friday, October 13 against Kazakhstan.
Ireland face Colombia at 2pm Irish time on Saturday October 21 and Spain at 2pm Irish time on Saturday October 28.
All games will be streamed for free on World Rugby’s RugbyPass platform.
The Irish squad is made up of 17 forwards and 13 backs, with 15 players from the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial champions Leinster.
The remainder of the squad includes three players from Munster, three from Ulster, five from Connacht and four UK club-based players.
