Join Grange Development Association for the Official Community Walkway Lighting Up Celebration Event at 11 am on Monday, February 5 at the walkway.
Grange Community Walkway Lighting Project and Fundraising Event
The Grange Development Association were delighted to see their most recent project completed as the lights went on at the community walkway for the first time at dusk on Thursday, November 16. All age groups in the community have been enjoying the extra time available to walk the walkway. The lights are on until 9 o’clock each night.
We are very grateful for Leader, Tipperary County Council and School support for this project.
The GDA with the support of Grange School and community are looking for your support to help with current and ongoing costs for this Walkway Lighting Project.
You can do this in different ways:
Join us for the Official Community Walkway Lighting Up Celebration Event at 11 am on Monday, February 5 at the walkway.
Take part and get some sponsorship for the sponsored walk which will start at 11.30 a.m. The 6 km walk will start at the walkway, proceed to the village and continue around the Ballindoney Loop finishing at the Community Hall for some welcome recovery and refreshments.
Grange Community Walkway at night
Those who would prefer not to do the longer 6km walk can do a few rounds of the walkway as an alternative.
If you are not able to join us on Monday, February 5 then you can set yourself a target of ‘Walking the Walkway’ during January whenever it suits you.
Cards are being given out to the families of children in the school and are also available from GDA Assistant Secretary, Noreen Doheny at 3, Theresa Ahearn Close, Grange Village (Mobile Number: 087 6564975) or any member of the GDA Committee.
All sponsorship money collected can be returned through the school or on the day of the Official Lighting-up and Sponsored Walk.
Come along to ‘Walk the Walkway’ and see the new walkway lighting and tarmacadam on the access road for yourselves.
