Action from the quarter final clash between Glenstal Abbey and Rockwell.
All Roads lead to Thomond Park today for The Munster Rugby Senior cup quarter final between Rockwell College and Crescent Comprehensive. After a heartening win over Glenstal Abbey in the previous round Rockwell now face a formidable Crescent team in this quarter-final.
Crescent go into this match as favourites possessing a huge pack and a deft back-line . Speaking to Aidan Butler, the Rockwell head coach , he told us his charges were relishing the upcoming challenge saying: “They are a super bunch to facilitate. Attitude, commitment , attention to detail, comradery are all central components to the core values of this group.
“Rockwell have a very youthful team, most of them did not play Junior Cup because of Covid, so the experience of Cup rugby is new to them. However, most of these boys have played on Tipperary county GAA teams , so they wont be fazed by the occasion. Anybody free on Thursday should join the large, colourful supporters heading for Limerick."
The game gets underway this afternoon in Thomond Park.
