The Source Arts Centre, Thurles, and Clonmel Junction Arts Festival team up to co-produce "The Hills of Love."
The show is written and directed by Áine Ryan, a playwright from Tipperary, whose work responds primarily to issues of women, isolation, and rural Ireland.
You can see the show on Friday June 28 and Saturday June 29 in The Source Arts Centre, Thurles, and Monday July 1 to Wednesday July 3 in the White Memorial Theatre, Clonmel.
The play follows three women with three love stories.
A play about intergenerational women dating in rural Ireland navigating the complexities of love, lust, and longing.
From forgotten sweet spots to the excitement of mature dating, this witty and apt story delves into the lives of three lonely women seeking connection in a remote townland.
Terry has lost her way with men.
Her daughter Benny is desperate for a ‘real’ boyfriend.
Their neighbour, Maura, a recently widowed publican, is excited to be released back into the seemingly ‘wild’ world of mature dating.
Love and lust are on the list for three lonely women in a remote townland in rural Ireland. Will romance make their lives better or worse?
Tickets for the Thurles show can be purchased on https://www.thesourceartscentre.ie, while tickets for Clonmel can be found on https://www.junctionfestival.com.
Tickets cost €18.
