A special meeting of Tipperary-Cahir-Cashel Municipal District will be convened as a mark of respect to Christy Kinahan, on Wednesday, 12th June at 4pm in the Civic Offices, Rosanna Road which will give Councillors an opportunity to pay tribute. 

Former Tipperary Town and County Councillor Christy Kinahan, passed away this week. He lived at the heart of the community in Tipperary Town and was an Independent Councillor  from the earlyu 1990s until 2009.

His daughter Jacqui ran in the recent Local Elections for Fianna Fail and kept on a strong family tradition of politics and serving the people.  

Mr Kinahan’s funeral will take place on Thursday in St Michael Church, Tipperary Town with the Funeral taking place at 2pm while the burial will take place afterwards in St Michael’s cemetery Tipperary Town. 

Reposing is at Whelan’s Funeral Home, Bansha Road, Tipperary on Wednesday evening - the 12th of June - from 5.30pm to 7pm. May he rest in peace.
