Holycross Abbey

Holycross Abbey stages the annual Novena

The crowds are strong in Holycross at the annual Novena which takes place from Sunday 8th to Monday 16th September and is already in full flow.

For those attending the schedule is the same for the midweek sessions with some changes at the weekend. Saturday sessions are at 7am, 10.30am, 4.30pm & 7.30pm (note: 12.30pm session on Sunday 8th and 15th but no 4.30pm).

There will be a Penitential Service on Friday 13th at 7.30pm and Anointing of the Sick on Saturday 14th at 2pm. Blessing of Infants will be held on Sunday 15th at 2.30pm.

Confessions will be heard before during and after each session of the Novena except Sundays when there will be no Confessions.

Remembrance Slips will be available in the Abbey so people can include their deceased loved ones to be remembered at each session.

Pilgrims are encouraged to complete the slips and drop them into the box which will be left hear the Altar for the duration of the Novena.
