Speaking at the Tipperary/Cahir monthly council meeting, County Librarian Damien Dullaghan told councillors that great progress is being made on the project.

The development of a new public library in Cahir is making great progress, and all is going to plan; it looks set to be open before the end of the year.

“Works are progressing extremely well; there's a lot of work going on inside and a lot of people employed to carry out the work.”

“At the moment its progressing very well we were on site last wednesday along with are project engineer Frank Cousins its looking very well we’re on target at the moment you can see the rooms taking shape there's a lot of work to do were still on target for a Q3 opening but that will depend on everything going well as we have a lot of work to do but its looking very very well and we’re very pleased with the progress.”
