Irish rugby fans were told to “say a prayer for Bundee Aki” after the Ireland star took a chunk out of Peter O’Mahony’s prized garden at a house party to celebrate Ireland’s Six Nations success over the weekend.
Fresh off the back of their Six Nations triumph, the Irish rugby team has been toasting their success in style with plenty of Guinness and craic with a series of nights out, including a special day out at Robbie Henshaw’s wedding at the luxury Cashel Palace Hotel last week.
Aki is well-known to rugby fans both home and abroad for his bravery on the field, however, his latest stunt during the party at O’Mahony’s Cork home has left players and fans alike worried for his safety.
The Connacht centre did his best Happy Gilmore impression during the party at O’Mahony’s, with the fan-favourite taking a chunk out of the Ireland captain’s pristine lawn before following up with a shovel.
Aki can be seen standing a spade in the ground where his golfing mishap occurred before kicking the shovel and unrooting an even bigger divot that he proudly holds aloft.

O’Mahony’s love for his garden is well-documented with the Munster stalwart consistently posting photos, clips and tips of his labours in the garden to his Instagram and TikTok accounts.
In an Instagram story posted by his Munster teammate Conor Murray, Aki can be seen standing with the golf club with the caption reading: “Say a prayer for @bundeeaki”
The Irish team appeared to enjoy their hijinks at the O’Mahony household but the jury is out on whether or not they’ll get an invite back to Chez O’Mahoney.
