An on-duty garda has been taken to hospital after being involved in a crash with a car in Dublin.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the crash which occurred on Churchtown Road Upper in the Dundrum area of Dublin shortly before 10am.
The on-duty garda was taken to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of “non life-threatening injuries”, while no other injuries were reported.
A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said: “Welfare supports have been made available to the garda by local management.
“The road which had been closed for a period of time has since reopened to traffic.
“Gardai are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.”
Investigations are ongoing.
