The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is currently hosting a blood donation clinic in Nenagh, amid supplies running low.
Blood stock supplies have fallen over the Easter period, with blood stocks as low as 2.5 days supply for one type.

But Irish hospital's demand for blood still remains high.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is reaching out to the community in the Nenagh area.
The clinic is taking place in Nenagh Scouts Hall from today, Tuesday, April 29, until Thursday, May 1.
The clinic is open from 4:50pm until 8:10pm.
The service welcomes both new and returning donors.
If you wish to book an appointment, they ask you to call 1800 222 111.
Donors can make a significant impact, as 65% of all blood collected helps support Irish cancer patients, with an additional 5% used for childbirth-related needs.

They say that they are particularly seeking new donors, younger donors, and those from diverse backgrounds, including individuals of African heritage.
Whether you’re a first-time donor or it's been a while since you last donated, they say your contribution is invaluable.
This year, they are facing challenges due to severe weather events and heightened respiratory illnesses within communities.
These factors have heavily impacted their blood collections, and they need the public's help to ensure that blood supplies remain strong for hospitals across Ireland.
