Clubs across Tipperary can apply for funding from Tipperary Sports Partnership

Two funds to support sport across Tipperary have reopened for applications.

Tipperary Sports Partnership have opened applications for both the Coaching Fund and the Development Fund, which aim to develop sport and increase physical activity in Tipperary. 

This fund aims to support setting up of new clubs or sections and assist clubs to increase their capacity to deliver sport and
physical activity and in turn increase membership and sports participation locally.

It also aims to support Good Governance in Clubs.

The Funding Scheme is supported by Sport Ireland and Tipperary County Council.

The Coaching Fund aims to support and develop quality coaching in Tipperary and to encourage all coaches and volunteers to undertake appropriate education and training through their relevant National Governing Bodies, while the Development Fund aims to encourage the set-up of new clubs and assist existing clubs to increase participation.

Applicants can apply under either the Development or Coaching Section or both up to the maximum amount of €1,000.

Projects should focus on attracting new members/participants from target groups as identified in TSP Strategic Plan such as disadvantaged areas, older adults, young people, people with disabilities, women and girls, unemployed and ethnic minorities.

The closing date for applications for the Coaching Fund and the Development Fund is May 15 at 4.00pm.
