Standing ovations on opening night of the Ursuline's Beauty and the Beast

This year’s Ursuline production Beauty and The Beast has been an outstanding success. The full audiences each night were treated to a feast of song, dance and Disney magic.

Kate Williams was resplendent as the kind hearted Belle who sees through the frightening appearance of the Beast to the gentle man beneath.

Caitríona Timmins displayed an array of emotions as the bewitched Prince trapped in the body of a ferocious creature. The spellbinding music and host of enchanted characters including Mrs Potts, Chip, Lumière, Cogsworth, Madame de la Grande Bouche made for a most enjoyable evening for young and old alike.

The detestably narcissistic Gaston was played with great humour by Jennifer Murphy.

The chorus including feather dusters, spoons, plates and flying cutlery added to the high octane performances that infused the entire show. It was spectacular from the opening curtain to the final encore so well done to everyone involved.
