GAA President Jarlath Burns
The new President of the GAA, Jarlath Burns, has invited Ballingarry native and current Laois senior hurling Manager, William Maher, to join his newly appointed Hurling Development Committee for a 3-year period.
Other notable appointments include Brian Cody and Brendan Cummins.
We wish William every success in this new position. Also well done to William and his backroom team who led Laois senior hurlers to victory against Carlow.
Laois were full value for their Allianz Hurling League Division 2A final victory on the scoreline: Carlow 1-12 Laois 2-22. This means that Laois are promoted and will play in Division 1 next year.
