Cashel GAA club has been given the green light to carry out groundworks at Leahy Park, Cooper's Lot, which could bring the possibility of evening games and brighter community events to the area.

The project would see six towering 21-meter galvanised steel poles, each fitted with powerful 500 lux floodlights, casting a bright glow across the pitch and transforming the grounds after dark.

The council have set five conditions for the build.
