Clonmel's Britney Stokes wins her third Irish boxing title in-a-row

A young Clonmel boxer is celebrating after winning her third national boxing title in-a-row.

Britney Stokes won the Girl 3 crown at U-13 at the National Stadium in Dublin to add to the titles she won at U-11 and U-12 in the past two years.

She also won three Leinster titles in the same years and two Michael Andrews tournaments, in which every county in Leinster competes.

Britney is the daughter of Mary and Michael Stokes from Mount Neill, Russelstown, Clonmel and is a member of Callan Boxing Club.

Her coach is the veteran club member and the highly-respected Jimmy Walsh, and she is also coached by John Hickey and Michael Comerford.

Her family and friends are very proud of Britney's achievements and wish her all the very best for the future.
