Templemore Library's new cabinet in the Community Room currently boasts a very special exhibition created and designed by Joe Barry.
For many years now, toy soldiers and war scenes have been a great passion of Joe's and just recently he set up a World War One Scene in the Library depicting a battle in France in 1917.

The scene features American Artillery and assorted British Regiments including Scottish Highland troops in combat against German forces.
Many young men from Templemore and the surrounding districts fought and died in World War One, often referred to as the “The Great War”, and was fought between 1914 and 1918.

This display is well worth a visit and it is worth studying the great attention to detail that Joe has put into it.
