Council to close road at rail level crossing at Tipperary village for two days

The road at Emly Level Crossing will be closed to facilitate rail track improvement works

Tipperary County Council has announced it will temporarily close the L-4110 at XC164 Emly Level Crossing at Emly for two weekend days this month to facilitate rail track improvement works. 

This road will close from 5am on Saturday, October 19 to 12 midnight on Sunday, October 20. 

Traffic diversions will be via the L-41109 to Ballywire Cross road, via the R-515 Emly village to Knocklong road and via the R-513 Garryspillane to Knocklong road. 

The rail track improvement works are taking place between Limerick Junction and Charleville as part of the Cork Line Rehabilitation project.
