Met Éireann's weekend Irish weather forecast is in and it's not good news...
Wednesday: It will be cloudy with patchy rain and drizzle in the north, west and midlands, turning more persistent later.
Other areas will be dry with sunny spells. Breezy with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds and highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
Wednesday night: Outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the north and west will gradually clear away to the northwest. Other areas will be dry with some clear spells at first, but cloud will increase overnight and drizzle, mist and fog will develop in the south. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees, with moderate to fresh southerly winds.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with mist and hill fog. It will start largely dry apart from a few spots of drizzle, but scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will develop through the day. It will continue breezy with a moderate to fresh southerly wind and highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
Thursday night: Outbreaks of rain will move eastwards and will be followed by drier weather and occasional breaks in the cloud. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 9 degrees, staying highest under cloudier skies in the southeast. Areas of mist and fog will develop as winds become light and variable.

Friday: Friday morning will be dull with mist and fog and some patches of rain or drizzle in the southeast. Through the day, showery rain will gradually extend up over the country from the south. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with light to moderate easterly winds.
Friday night: The showery rain will clear northwards from most areas but may persist in parts of Leinster and Ulster. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in light to moderate east to southeast winds.
Saturday: Scattered showers and occasional sunny spells, with most of the showers occurring in the south and west and some turning heavy. Mild for the time of year, with temperatures reaching 11 to 15 degrees, in light to moderate easterly winds.
Saturday night: Showers will become isolated and clear spells will develop. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees in light to moderate east to northeast winds.
Sunday: Current indications are for a dry and mild day on Sunday, with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees with light to moderate east to northeast winds.
