Jingle all the way with Santa Dash and Christmas music in Clonmel

Santa Dash

District Mayor Catherine Carey and her helpers are looking forward to the Santa Dash from Clonmel's Main Guard on Saturday afternoon.

The Christmas atmosphere in Clonmel will be raised a few notches this Saturday with the Santa Dash and Music Festivities, which are being hosted by the South Tipperary Mental Health Consumer Panel.

Registration for the Santa Dash is at The Main Guard at 2pm and the dash - a fun event where people dress up in Christmas-themed outfits and walk, run or jog - starts at 2.30pm sharp.

The first 100 children registered will get a complimentary Santa hat for the dash, which will be led by District Mayor Catherine Carey.

The Music Festivities under the arches of the Main Guard will include performances by the Circle of Friends Choir at 1.30; the Uproar Rock Chorus at 2 and 3pm; Belle Voci Choir at 3.15; a sing-song featuring members of Supersoul Machine at 3.45; Foul Play at 4.15 and Synchronicity at 5.15pm.

Some members of SuperSoul Machine will play original songs written by Adam McNamara, Brandon Kennedy, Carlo DiRuzza and Jack Keane, with whom they’ve been working, as well as some well-known Christmas tunes.

Everyone is welcome to join in and sing along with the choirs and bands.
