People of Tipperary get those Christmas lights switched on!!!

Get your Christmas lights and decorations ready because the national competition to find Ireland’s Most Christmassy Home is returning!

Energia Ireland’s Most Christmassy Home officially starts on Friday 1st December. This is the second year that Ireland’s fastest growing home energy provider Energia will be running a nationwide search for the best decorated home in Ireland at Christmas time. 

Last year’s competition saw entries from all corners of Ireland, culminating in a public vote for the most Christmassy home. It really struck a chord with people in terms of voting and viewing the competition material – over 750,000 people engaged with the competition online.

Last year’s winner was Tony Noonan from Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick, who donated all of his €4,000 prizemoney to his favourite charities: Milford Hospice, Adare Alzheimers, Brothers of Charity Newcastle West, Brothers of Charity Foynes, Recovery Haven Tralee and, CRY Monagay. Over 5,000 people voted for the Noonan’s entry. You can see a video of Tony’s winning entry here.

Energia will be promoting this year’s competition from Mon 27th Nov, ahead of an official launch on Friday morning, 1st December. Energia will judge the entries up until Monday 11th December, when the 20 finalists will be announced. Public voting will then take place on the competition’s Facebook page until Friday 15thDecember, when the winner will be declared.

This year’s fantastic prizes are donations of €3,000, €2,000 and €1,000 respectively to the charity of choice of the first, second and third placed houses following the public vote. Full details about the competition are available here.
