The Moycarkey Coolcroo AC 5k race was held in Littleton.
A large number of 267 athletes entered.
Dundrum AC had 14 club members who travelled to compete. Advertised as a very flat and fast course, it lived up to its reputation with some very competitive and fast times recorded.

Both the men’s and women’s course records were smashed. David McCarthy (West Waterford AC) set a new men’s course record in an amazing time of 14.29, while Dundrum’s Dymphna Ryan was first woman and she also set the women’s new course record in a fantastic performance and a brilliant time of 16.59.

This was Dymphna’s second win of the week, having won the 5k race in the Mile Marker in Danesfort on the previous Sunday.
It was a great achievement and congratulations to Dymphna.
