Harris appeared on the Podcast in November, 2024
A list of possible questions that were intended for Taoiseach Simon Harris when he appeared on The 2 Johnnie's podcast has been revealed.
Harris appeared on the popular podcast back in November, 2024, with Johnny B and Johnny Smacks saying how they don't usually "talk politics" on the podcast but "they just couldn't pass it up".
The two boys had said they had several questions to put to the Taoiseach regarding housing, the future of Irish agriculture and most importantly seeing as Harris and Johnny B are the same age (38), who's better craic on a night out?
Harris's pre-election appearance on the podcast saw the two Johnnies ask him several personal questions, such as does he and his wife split the household chores his family's shopping habits, to which Harris answers "the supermarket is a grand canvas when pushing around the trolley".
Ken Foxe, co-director of Right to Know, an Irish transparency organisation that campaigns for greater information access, has recently revealed he requested a Freedom of Information (FOI) request surrounding the questions that would be put to Harris.
Foxe states in a post on X that the Department of the Taoiseach originally claimed that no such documented existed, but upon further investigation and a payment of €30 for the internal investigation, it transpired the document did exist with over 20 pre-planned and possible questions.
Foxe adds that this "neatly sums up how Freedom of Information works in Ireland".
Questions included, why are so many people moving to Ireland and what's his plan to get them back, the future of rural pubs, the possibility of a 32 county Ireland and if people wreck his head when he's out and about.
I had to pay €30 for the privilege of finding out this list of questions did in fact exist.

That was the fee for internal review after being told there were no records (when it was quite evident there had to be).

During the episode, Harris did get asked some tough questions regarding young people emigrating in which he replied that "there's not any one reason for this happening" but he said young people are probably thinking "well if I can't get a house here, I may as well try other things" but adds that's not a position he wants Ireland to be in.
Upon being asked in the comments whether Harris answered any of the questions, Foxe replied "I never listened to it to be quite honest! But if you fancy it", followed by a link to the episode on Spotify.
Other comments included: "Being provided the questions in advance of a softball interview is a total joke, surely he has all his spin and PR-friendly personal anecdotes memorised! The majority of our politicians would tank in a long form interview."
While others were quick to point out not all of the questions were asked during the interview.
